Maslon - Pass it on

The Maslon Pass It On campaign was inspired by the founding principles of our firm: a commitment to excellence, a tradition of community service and a longstanding support of the arts. As part of that, we are pleased to make a charitable donation to the Minneapolis Institute of Arts’ Art Adventure Program, which aims to inspire the next generation through the power of art.

The Donation
On January 31, 2012, Maslon will donate $25 per submission for the first 200 submissions received by MaslonPassItOn.com (including those made by Maslon attorneys) to the Minneapolis Institute of Arts' Art Adventure Program. If 200 submissions are achieved by this date, a total contribution of $5,000 will be made.

Minneapolis Institute of Arts’ Art Adventure Program
Each year, the Minneapolis Institute of Arts (MIA) professionally trains more than 2,000 volunteers from the school community (often parents) who facilitate in-classroom arts education to nearly 100,000 K-6 students across the state through the Art Adventure Program. Through engaging discussions among students and hands-on activities, the Art Adventure Program cultivates creative thinking skills and promotes diverse worldviews among students.

The Art Adventure Program also invites schools to bring students to the museum for free tours, allowing students to see the actual work they discussed in school. As schools face continued budget challenges, the MIA has established a transportation fund to provide free busing for schools in need so that students can experience a visit to the museum. For many of these students, the Art Adventure tours are their first experience in a museum.

Studies have shown that learning to look at and understand art can help students develop critical thinking skills that are vital for success in the classroom and throughout life. By engaging students through dynamic presentations, the MIA’s Art Adventure Program helps ignite creativity and inspires a desire to learn and understand.
